May Budget

Well, I have some less than fugal news to share. I didn't do very well this past month with couponing. I was off my game, and I didn't even keep track of what I spent & saved! I'm disappointed in myself, but what is a girl to do?

Between graduation, house hunting and vacation, May just got away from me.
So, here's how we did:
Spent: $154.73
Saved: $65 (a rough guess)

We ate out ALOT this past month, especially leading up to vacation. That's something that we need to cut back on, but with the upcoming move- I think we'll wait to cut back on it after June 30th.

I did make 1 trip to Homeland this month....for $33.07 I got all of this:
My goals for June?
  • eat what's in the pantry and freezer...this will make the move easier!
  • try not to go out to eat as much....if we do, order water and split the dish
  • price compare Homeland to WalMart

Sounds like you have some good goals. I have completly gotten away from couponing and watching my budget. Except for a few trips to CVS. We are getting the house finished, I am not working, and spending money on anything is just about out of the question.
When is your moving date? I bet you are getting so excited!

I will definatley keep you in my prayers! It is hard to be patient during times like this. We started building our house over a year ago and I have had many days that I have lost it and been over taken by anger in my impatience. It has been my biggest struggle. I finally started getting it under control by turning it over to God and now we are about a month from moving in!
Congrats on the house! Your closing day will be here before you know it! God obviously blessed you guys by the way it is working out with the closing date and the end of your rent month!
I look forward to seeing what you do with the house. We have done all the work on our house so if you need some help with any remodeling advice just ask.
